OUR STORY

A Tradition Of Hospitality Since 1941

For more than 80 years, this Highland restaurant has been a place where great food, warm hospitality, and memorable moments come together.

Rooted In Highland Tradition

Savanah's Steakhouse and Grill traces its roots back to 1941, when Bill and Vera Michael, along with their son R. Guy and his wife, Joann Michael, established the restaurant. The business was previously known as “the Tavern” or Three Gables and also included a gas station, which was later removed.

Through the years, many changes have taken place, from the early days of concrete floors and wooden tables and chairs to the welcoming dining destination it is today. Following several major additions and renovations, including the most recent remodel in 2003, Savanah's Steakhouse and Grill offers outstanding dining in a subtle, inviting atmosphere, with facilities accommodating up to 300 guests, a fireside cocktail lounge, and an Outdoor Bar & Grill.

Today, Savanah's Steakhouse and Grill continues to offer a wide-ranging menu featuring classic favorites and signature dishes such as Roast Prime Rib of Beef, Veal Marsala, Parmesan Crusted Salmon, and our award-winning Peppersteak.
